Dear Patient,

As 2004 is coming to an end, I would like to take this opportunity to reflect on our accomplishments over the past year, and, of course, also to wish all of you a happy and prosperous 2005.

The previous year has been very pivotal for the Litvin Centers for Diabetes (LCD). We made a very crucial move, transplanting our office to Fort Lee . Not that we were unhappy in Englewood , but as all of you remember, the facility had much to be desired. It was very small and had a congested parking lot as well. The facility in Fort Lee , on the other hand, is very luxurious and spacious. There is ample room for all of our activities with spare room for growth. As for the parking lot, no one is complaining. The move to Fort Lee has not caused our loyal patients to abandon us, and has in fact opened up for us a much needed opportunity with the local residents. The residents of this are come from many ethnic groups and present many unique endocrine problems -- diabetes being only one. In addition to the noted growth in the number of patients, we've seen a growth in our staff as well. The most exciting news, however, is the commending of our screening for a heart condition particularly in patients with diabetes. State-of-the-art nuclear stress testing was initiated in both locations (Fort Lee and West Orange ) and successful screening of over twenty patients has already been accomplished. With this capability in place, I think we can proudly say that we may be the only private practice facility where comprehensive care and screening for diabetes-related complications is conducted on a routine basis. Achieving all that though has not made us less ambitious. Over the next year, multiple objectives have been already set. The main one will be the launching of our new and friendly internet site, which we hope will prove an asset and a critical component of our over all mission. Both time and effort have been invested in the creation of the site, so please take advantage of it, and let your friends and families know about it. The more traffic that is generated into the site the better for all of us. I would like to end this newsletter by wishing all of you the best of health and all of us much success in helping you achieving that goal.

From the staff at The Litvin Centers for Diabetes,

Happy Holidays!
